The easiest way to reach Dubrovnik is by plane. Dubrovnik Airport is located 22 kilometers from the town and it takes 25 minutes by car from the airport to Dubrovnik, depending on the frequency of the traffic. Dubrovnik Airport is connected to major European cities. There are direct flights from/to Dublin, London, Paris, Frankfurt, Amsterdam,Brussels, Rome, Vienna, Budapest, Bratislava, Moscow, Tel Aviv (some mentioned direct flights do not operate all year round) and many airports have direct charter flights to Dubrovnik. To other destinations Dubrovnik is linked through connection flights with Zagreb. There are two to four connections per day from Zagreb to Dubrovnik and back, and from Zagreb there are daily flights to all major cities in Europe.
All airline companies provide airline shuttle for regular flights - there is always an Atlas shuttle bus after every landing of regular flight. Shuttle bus costs 35 Croatian Kuna - 5 euros - per person and you can buy a ticket on the bus and the shuttle bus goes to Pile Gate and Bus Terminal (Main Bus Station). If your final destination is not near Pile Gate or Bus Terminal you have to take a taxi or use local bus service (or walk).
There is a local public bus transportation as well, which operates according the bus schedule. Local Bus station is in front of Domestic Arrivals. It costs 13-16 Croatian Kuna - 2 euros - per person one way. The problem with local buses is that most of them do not go directly to Dubrovnik - only some do - because they go only to Cavtat bus station. There are very frequent connections between Cavtat and Dubrovnik city by local bus (30 minutes) or by tourist boats (30 to 45 minutes). Bus tickets can be obtained from kiosks, in hotels, at travel agencies or on the bus itself.
Here you can find a map and local bus schedule:
www.libertasdubrovnik.hr/prigradski.swf
Buses number 10,11,25,27,30,31,38 operate in this part of Dubrovnik's area
Check the prices of private transfers and then decide which option is the best for you. Sometimes private transfers could be cheaper and better solution then shuttle service or local bus lines. Visit www.taxiservicedubrovnik.com or send an e-mail at or click www.taxiservicedubrovnik.com/contact.php
Don't be overcharged by taxi drivers at the airport - book your airport transfer in advance.

Hello
From the airport you can take only a shuttle bus to Dubrovnik center or Main bus terminal. From Main bus terminal there are some bus lines for Montenegro check http://www.libertasdubrovnik.com/polazak.html (Herceg Novi, Budva, Kotor, Ulcinj, Podgorica)

Hi Roman
The price for taxi between Dubrovnik airport and Sumartin hotel would be 220 Croatian Kuna per journey. If you want to book just e-mail me your flight details and that's all. Deposit is not required.
Hope you will have a nice time in Dubrovnik and Croatia

Hi Jim
Price of taxi transfer between Dubrovnik airport and Hotel Excelsior would be 220 Croatian Kuna per journey. I suggest an advanced reservation, if you want to book just send me by e-mail your flight details and that s' all. Deposit is not required.
The benefits of pre-booked airport transfers
- driver will be waiting for you holding the sign with your name on
- an advanced reservation will be your guarantee there will be a vehicle for you at the time you request
- we will follow any delays your flight has in order to be there at arrival time
-no need to queue for taxis or drag your bags around searching for public transport
- fixed price of the transfer (lower then normal price)
Sometimes, especially in the high season in July and August, after some flights, there is a shortage of taxi vehicles at the airport, so to avoid that situation we recommend that all bookings are made in advance.
It is necessary to have your name, airline company, flight number and from city in order to make booking for a pickup. Send an e-mail at: or call phone number +385 (0) 98 725 769.
